Director Ashima Chibber recently said the presence of single parents, working mothers and children on the sets of Rani Mukherji-starrer Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway, which celebrates the mother-child bond, made the shoot a special experience.
“There have been pregnant women, working mothers and single parents among the crew members. It felt like there was a lot of mother energy on the sets. It definitely is not an easy task to accommodate so many mothers along with their children. The production team should take all the credit for taking such a challenging task and see through it to the end,” she explained.
Since both Ashima and Rani are mothers, their children were present on the sets as well because of long shoot hours.
Based on true events, Rani Mukerji-starrer Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway chronicles the life of a mother who fights against all odds to win back the custody of her children in a faraway land. The movie, which marks Rani’s return to the big screen after more than a year, also features Anirban Bhattacharya in a key role.
Produced by Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment, Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway is slated to arrive in theatres on March 17.
Rani was last seen alongside Saif Ali Khan in Bunty Aur Babli 2, which failed to draw audiences to theatres. The 44-year-old had won critical acclaim for her performance as the gritty cop Shivani Roy in the 2019 crime thriller Mardaani 2.
