Actor Maniesh Paul thanked Rafuchakkar creators Arjun and Kartk for giving him a chance to reinvent himself as an actor in the JioCinema con-man crime drama series.
“Arjun Sir and Kartk create not just stories but unforgettable experiences and Rafuchakkar is no exception. They offered me a role I have never been offered before. They challenged me to reinvent myself and guided me through a creative journey I will never forget,” the 41-year-old actor said.
Overwhelmed with the response received from audiences for his role in the Ritam Srivastav-helmed show, Maniesh said the web series actually helped him to showcase his acting range. “Earlier, people liked me for my comedy roles. But thanks to the extraordinary creators and the director, Ritam sir, I have been able to portray a character which has so many different shades.
“As actors, we want to explore all kinds of roles, but if we don't get the right opportunities or come across creators like Arjun sir and Kartk, there's little we can do,” he added.
According to the Jug Jugg Jeeyo actor, the creator duo, who are also helming the upcoming Sushmita Sen-starrer Taali, constantly pushed the narrative envelope in entertainment.
Rafuchakkar, which is currently streaming on JioCinema for free, also features Priya Bapat, Aksha Pardasany, Aakash Dahiya, Sushant Singh, Vikram Kochhar, Chahat Vig and Ravi Kothari.
