While fans eagerly wait to witness Dakota Johnson’s portrayal of Cassandra Webb in Sony’s latest superhero origin flick Madame Web, a host of other releases are going to hit cinemas this Friday. Here’s everything you need to know about this week’s theatrical releases.
Madame Webb (English)

Dakota Johnson stars as Cassandra Webb in Madame Web, Sony’s latest addition to the Spider-Man Universe. Set in New York City, the movie follows Cassandra, a paramedic who discovers her clairvoyant abilities during a rescue. Now, plagued by visions, Cassandra must navigate her newfound powers to protect three young women from a deadly foe (played by Tahar Rahim).
The Holdovers (English)

Paul Giamatti is in the running for an Oscar for best actor for his performance as a stringent classics teacher in Alexander Payne’s The Holdovers. The comedy drama unfolds in the winter of 1970 at Barton Academy as Paul Giamatti’s character is given the responsibility to supervise students stranded on campus during the Christmas break. His actions, however, result in professional consequences when he tries to defend a troubled student played by Sessa. Da'Vine Joy Randolph Randolph, nominated for an Oscar for best supporting actress, plays Barton cafeteria manager in the film.
Bob Marley: One Love (English)

Land of Bad (English)

Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay (Hindi)

In an attempt to break free from familial expectations, the couple opt to get married, with Heer promising to stand by Iraa's aspirations of becoming an IAS officer. Unfortunately, a miscommunication arises, leading both families to believe that Heer and Iraa are expecting a child.
Bramayugam (Malayalam)

Mammootty-starrer Bramayugam, directed by Rahul Sadasivan, is a period horror film presented in black and white. Set in a bygone era, the story revolves around Thevan (Arjun Ashokan), a young folklore singer from the Paanan community. The plot unfolds as Thevan explores the decaying mansion, known as Mana, belonging to the enigmatic Kunjamon Potti (Mammootty). Despite Thevan’s attempts to flee the place, Potti has alternative plans.
