Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s directorial venture Lal Salaam, starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles, is set to release on Pongal next year in January, the makers of the film have announced.
Sharing a new poster of the film on X (formerly Twitter), makers Lyca Productions wrote, "LAL SALAAM to hit screens on PONGAL 2024 ".
The new poster, predominantly colored in a shade of red, features Rajinikanth standing in front of a vintage car near a cricket field. Rajinikanth and former Team India cricketer Kapil Dev are likely to play cameos in the film.
Aishwarya's Lal Salaam explores themes of friendship and cricket and boasts a stellar ensemble cast. Rajinikanth plays a character named Moideen Bhai in his extended cameo in the film. A.R. Rahman has scored the music for the film.
Rajinikanth had completed shooting his part in the film back in July, and Aishwarya Rajinikanth celebrated the shoot-wrap by sharing pictures from the set on Instagram. In her post, she expressed gratitude towards her father and wrote "Making a movie with you is a miracle, and you are pure magic appa (father)... Lal Salaam, Moideen Bhai... and it's a wrap for THE SUPERSTAR."
