Gubbara Entertainment’s short film Blind Spot (Chashma) stole the spotlight at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024 with its special premiere under the Focus South Asia section. Directed by Nitin Baid, who has, in the past, worked as the editor for Gully Boy and Masaan, the short film is written by Varun Grover and stars Konkona Sensharma and Ayan Khan in the lead.

Blind Spot revolves around a boy's (played by Ayan Khan) journey of personal growth and self-acceptance. Speaking on the film’s subject, director Nitin Baid said, "It’s a film that resonates with the complexity of growing up, navigating our perceptions, and questioning the truths we often take for granted."

Calling the experience of directing Blind Spot (Chashma) “a fulfilling journey,” Nitin revealed that “seeing it garner so much love and acclaim at MAMI feels surreal.” The film’s ensemble cast also features Kabeer Shah, Shafeen Patel, Shishir Sharma, and Vijay Shrivastava.

"The film’s premiere at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival is a proud moment for all of us. Nitin’s debut as a director, complemented by Varun’s exceptional writing, brought something truly unique to the screen. It is further strengthened by the incredible performances of Konkona and Ayan, inviting the audience to question the surface of what they see and dig deeper into the characters' truths," said Dimpy Agrawal, Founder & Producer, Gubbara Entertainment, perfectly summing up the cast and crew’s contribution.
