Karan Johar spontaneously called Kajol “bitchy” as the latter teased him with abuse allegations, prompting Rani Mukerji to burst out laughing in a teaser of the sixth episode of the filmmaker’s celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan Season 8.

Shared by Karan on Monday, the short video shows the filmmaker taking a trip down memory lane with the two leading ladies of his first film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. “We’ve hit the ⏪ button hard enough to bring my first leading ladies - Kajol & Rani back on the Koffee couch & it’s nostalgia in the purest form!!!!🧡🧡🧡”

Karan wrote on Instagram alongside the video.

“I remember when I was shooting Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. My father was standing outside the set. Someone asked him, ‘Yash ji, why are you standing outside?’ He replied, ‘My son is shooting on sets these days, so I have come down on the streets,” Karan shared with Kajol and Rani, both of whom starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the 1998 blockbuster.

“You snatched food from my hands, you hit me,” Rani playfully pointed an accusing finger at Karan, who, however, was quick to dismiss the allegation. Kajol, too, joined in the fun as she mocked Karan by saying, “Abuse! It was abuse,” making Karan exclaim, “How bitchy” and prompting Rani to break into laughter.

During rapid fire round, Karan asked Kajol to name one of her films in which Rani had a special appearance. True to her relaxed and casual attitude, the Trial actress made a gesture with her hands signifying that she doesn’t know the answer. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director’s comeback was swift as she told Kajol, “It’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. How can you be so stupid?” Kajol, who looked unfazed, was bewildered knowing the answer and jokingly said she would be “staging a walkout”. The video ends with the 49-year-old actress asking the cameraman to cut the scene.

The new episode of Koffee With Karan featuring Rani and Kajol will be made available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from November 30.
