From Sara Ali Khan’s ex to Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s remarks on unhappy marriages and Tiger Shroff “going commando” to Ranveer Singh’s bedroom secrets, the new season of celebrity talk show Koffee with Karan is set to return with more gossip and insight into the lives of Bollywood celebrities.
The complete list of celebrity guests for Season 7 of the show has not been revealed yet. However, a trailer released on Saturday highlights some of the guest combinations and candid moments from the show, which is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on July 7.
Gully Boys and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani co-stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will be appearing together in the show, a revelation that might come as a surprise for many fans expecting newlyweds Alia and Ranbir Kapoor to attend the show together.
Anil Kapoor and Varun Dhawan who recently starred in the family-flick Jugjugg Jeeyo will be on the show together. Ananya Panday will be joined by Liger co-star Vijay Deverakonda. Kiara Advani will be featured on the show alongside Kabir Singh co-star Shahid Kapoor. Close friends Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor will be spilling the ‘coffee’ together.
Akshay Kumar’s co-guest on the show this season is Family Man actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, whose comments on marriages is one of the highlights of the Season 7 trailer of Koffee with Karan.
Kriti Sanon will join her long-time friend and Heropanti co-star Tiger Shroff on the couch this season.
Aside from sharing a sneak peek of the guest stars, the show also hinted at the humorous and candid topics that will be discussed.
In the trailer, Ranveer shared that he had “sex playlists”. Alia coming on the show with Ranveer may not satisfy those who want to see her with her beau, but Karan had earlier revealed that Ranbir Kapoor has refused to return to the controversy-stirring show.
Akshay seemed to hilariously confuse picture ‘filters’ with cosmetic ‘fillers’ when asked about a Bollywood obsession that he disapproved of. The Samrat Prithviraj actor featuring alongside Samantha could hint at an upcoming collaboration. Samantha also had some interesting quips. She told Karan that he was the reason behind “unhappy marriages” as he has “portrayed life to be K3G when the reality is KGF”. The actress who recently performed a dance number in Pushpa: The Rise separated from her husband Naga Chaitanya last year. Koffee with Karan may be the first time she publicly discusses the separation.
Another break-up that is sure to be discussed on the show is that of the Atrangi Re actress Sara. She will apparently be opening up about her former partner who she claims is her ex because “he is everyone’s ex”. In the previous season, Sara had come on the show with her father Saif Ali Khan and had hinted at being interested in a relationship with Bhool Bhoolaiyaa 2 actor Kartik Aaryan. The season is set to premiere with Sara and Janhvi.
Shahid talking about what he misses about being single, Ananya confessing that her father Chunky Panday is too tight-fisted to have paid for her debut and Tiger going ‘commando’ in public, the trailer has dropped a number of comments out of context to pique the interest of viewers.
