The teaser of Disney+Hotstar's first Malayalam web series Kerala Crime Files, starring Lal and Aju Varghese, promises a hectic hunt for a serial killer in dark alleys and deserted streets.

Dropped on Monday, the one-minute-26-second clip shows a team of cops combing through a neighbourhood for a killer who has been brutally murdering sex workers. Their only clue is a name and a fake address – Shiju, Parayil Veedu Neendakara.

The official synopsis of the series reads, “Their sole lead is a name and a fake address inscribed in the lodge’s ledger – Shiju, Parayil Veedu Neendakara. The crux of the series revolves around the police’s efforts to crack this intricate case, promising a narrative filled with twists and turns.”

Directed by Ahammed Khabeer, the crime thriller will be available in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi.
