Katrina Kaif, Sara Ali Khan, Karan Johar and Riteish Dekhmukh heap praise on Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur

Actress Katrina Kaif led a long line of Bollywood celebrities, including Sara Ali Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Karan Johar and Riteish Dekhmukh, to heap praise on Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur following a special screening of the Meghna Gulzar directorial on Thursday.

“SAM BAHADUR - @meghnagulzar such a poetic beautiful classic film , was transported to another era .. you can see your passion for telling his story and attention to detail in every shot,” Katrina wrote on Instagram, praising the director of the film based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.

“And SAM !!!!…..GRACE, HEROISM , GRIT What a performance, flawless, I’m just astounded, you are too inspiring, true to your craft in the most brilliant integral way, was so proud to watch you shine your way across the screen,” the Tiger 3 actress gushed about her husband Vicky’s “performance to be remembered” in the film.

Sara took to her Instagram story to congratulate Vicky for his portrayal of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. “Honestly, no words can describe what a pleasure watching you is. The ease with which you transform is impeccable. Versatility, conviction and brilliance. Can’t wait for everyone to yet again witness your excellence.”

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is currently hosting the eighth season of his celebrity chat show Koffee With Karan, shared his thoughts alongside a poster of the film. “He is SAM BAHADUR and he is an absolute master of his craft. Vicky Kaushal embodies the legend like a bonafide veteran with genius ease!” the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director wrote.

Ghoomer star Abhishek Bachchan took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared his thoughts about the film. “Saw #SamBahadur last night. The enormity of all that #FieldMarshalSamManekshaw did and achieved is overwhelming! It’s a huge responsibility to portray one of India’s greatest sons and she does it wonderfully,” he wrote. He ended his note praising Vicky for his dedication and tremendous performance. “My veerey, @vickykaushal09 what do I even say about you… you continue to set the bar so high for all of us and then so effortlessly jump over it as only Sam can. All I can say is “Well done, sweety”!!!”

“Still reeling under the magic of Sam Bahadur. @vickykaushal09 what an incredible actor you are — flawless,” actor Riteish Deshmukh wrote, before praising Meghna and production house RSVP Movies for backing the film.

Thank You for Coming actress Shehnaaz Gill also shared a still of the film from the cinema hall. “Loved the performances, the story, the acting, everything about #sambahadur!” she wrote.

Rashmika Mandanna, who will be seen alongside Ranbir Kapoor in Animal, also wrote before the screening, “@vickykausal09 jiiii, congratulations and all the best for Sam Bahadur yaa… can’t wait to watch!!”
