Filmmaker Karan Johar, who has been in news recently for his 50th birthday party, shared a short film directed by him, Baaton Hee Baaton Mein, on social media on Wednesday, garnering more than two lakh views in 21 hours.

The two-minute-seven-second-long film, which begins with credits to “Dharma 2.0”, takes viewers through a conversation between the bride and the groom during a wedding ritual reminiscent of the hit Dharma Production films of the early 2000s.

In his Instagram post, the filmmaker calls the short film shot on a phone camera his “latest muse”.

“Hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did making it,” the filmmaker posted.

Karan earlier directed short films for Bombay Talkies, Ghosh Stories and Lust Stories.

The director-producer, who turned 50 in May, has been more active as a producer in the past few years. But he recently said in an interview that he hopes to don the director’s hat more often and shoot at least 10 films before turning 60.

Karan, who is co-producing Brahmāstra along with Ranbir Kapoor, Hiroo Johar, Ayan Mukherji and others, shared the Brahmastra Part One: Shiva trailer on social media later in the day. The trailer launch of the film has received more than 15 lakh views on YouTube in less than 24 hours.
