Kabzaa
The makers of Upendra’s highly-anticipated upcoming period-action drama Kabzaa have dropped its teaser. Billed as a pan-India film, it also features superstar Kiccha Sudeep alongside Shriya Saran. Kabzaa is directed by R. Chandru.
The two-minute teaser, with strong K.G.F vibes, explores the underworld of pre-independent India. It opens with a look at India in 1942. A montage shows a child growing up in an environment of patriotism amidst the fight for independence.
Uunchai
Amitabh Bachchan shared a new poster of his upcoming film Uunchai along with the release date. Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the film is billed as an ode to friendship. The film also stars Anupam Kher and Boman Irani.
Produced jointly by Barjatya’s family banner Rajshri Productions, Mahaveer Jain Films and Boundless Media, Uunchai marks Barjatya’s return to the big screen after the 2015 romantic drama, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. It also features Neena Gupta, Sarika, Parineeti Chopra, Nafisa Ali Sodhi and Danny Denzongpa.
Uunchai will hit cinemas on November 11.
Zwigato
Applause Entertainment on Monday dropped the trailer of their upcoming film Zwigato, starring Kapil Sharma as a food delivery executive. The film is directed by Nandita Das and stars Shahana Goswami opposite Kapil.
The synopsis of the film reads, “The film is about an ex-floor manager of a factory who loses his job during the pandemic. He then works as a food delivery rider, grappling with the world of ratings and incentives. To support the income, his homemaker wife begins to explore different work opportunities, with fear but also the excitement of newfound independence. The film is about the relentlessness of life, but not without their shared moments of joy. It captures the lives of invisible ‘ordinary’ people, hidden in plain sight.”
Koffee With Karan Season 7 Episode 12
Karan Johar has shared a teaser for the 12th episode of Koffee With Karan Season 7 featuring Bollywood wives Gauri Khan, Maheep Kapoor and Bhavana Panday.
“These fabulous ladies are all set to spill some piping hot Koffee!,” he Tweeted.
The teaser shows the star wives talking about their husbands, their lives in the inner circle of Bollywood and more. Karan began by asking Gauri to provide dating advice for her daughter Suhana Khan. Shah Rukh Khan also makes a brief appearance in the teaser via Gauri’s phone.
Episode 12 of Koffee With Karan Season 7 will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from September 22.
Vakeel Babu
Amazon miniTV has shared the trailer of its upcoming short film Vakeel Babu, starring Abhishek Banerjee.
The one-minute-nine-second trailer introduces viewers to the life of Shiraz Hassan, popularly called ‘Vakeel Babu’ by his acquaintances. He is a young lawyer who is trying to become a legal YouTuber while also juggling his cases.
Vakeel Babu will premiere on September 22.
