John Abraham is set to make his big-screen return alongside Sharvari Wagh with Nikkhil Advani’s Vedaa, slated to release theatrically on July 12, the makers announced on Wednesday, dropping the first poster of the upcoming action thriller.

“Dive into the world of #Vedaa with @thejohnabraham, @sharvari, @nikkhiladvani,” wrote production house Zee Studios on Instagram, alongside a poster featuring John and Sharvari.

John was last seen in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan, which released on January 25 last year.

Shortly before the makers announced the release date, Nikkhil teased the revelation by dropping posters which captured only the rear profiles of the protagonists.

Later, Nikkhil shared the official poster with a cryptic caption — “She needed a savior. She got a weapon.”

In June last year, John shared pictures from the set of Vedaa, announcing that the thriller has commenced filming.

“Lights, camera, and action! Vedaa hits the floors. Get ready to witness adrenaline-pumping action in our next, #Vedaa,” wrote the 51-year-old actor on Instagram alongside pictures of himself with Sharvari and Nikkhil.

Sharing a picture with Tamannaah Bhatia last July, John announced that the Jailer actress has joined the cast of Vedaa.

“Team #Vedaa is privileged to have the wonderful & effervescent @tamannaahspeaks join the cast for a special, pivotal role,” the actor captioned his Instagram carousel.

Penned by Aseem Arrora, Vedaa is jointly produced by John, Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani.

Tamannaah recently made her Malayalam film debut with Arun Gopy’s action drama Bandra (2023). Sharvari, on the other hand, last appeared in Aditya Chopra’s Bunty aur Babli 2 (2021) alongside Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
