Alia Bhatt’s Satya, devastated by the unjust arrest of her younger brother Ankur (Vedang Raina), does everything in her power to secure his freedom in the music video of new Jigra song Tenu Sang Rakhna, dropped by Saregama Music on Thursday.

The three-minute-two-second-long video, set in Singapore, opens with Satya asking the prison authorities if she looks sad before her meeting with Ankur. Both siblings endure deep suffering during their separation. Incarcerated in his cell, Ankur reminisces about the joyful moments he shared with his sister. Satya, though equally heartbroken, continues her fight for justice, meeting lawyers and confronting authorities in a relentless bid to free Ankur.

Arijit Singh, Anumita Nadesan and Achint Thakkar have lent their vocals to Tenu Sang Rakhna. Thakkar also serves as the composer of the song, while Varun Grover is the lyricist.

Jigra is the third project under Alia’s home banner Eternal Sunshine Productions after Netflix’s 2022 dark comedy Darlings and the 2024 Amazon Prime Video crime-drama series Poacher.

Jigra marks Alia’s first collaboration with director Vasan Bala, known for thrillers like Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota (2018) and Monica, O My Darling (2022).

Co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Jigra is slated to hit theatres on October 11.
