“Sincere apologies to my audience as advance opening is still not open. Trust me I'm still trying and fighting to get shows for #Khadaan and open the advance. But KHADAAN is not getting shows still due to other language film distribution here in Bengal. Really sorry, please be patient. I will not stop trying,” he wrote on X.

The trailer for Khadaan was dropped by the makers today. Directed by Soojit Rino Dutta, the upcoming action thriller sees Dev portraying a father and son, alongside an ensemble cast featuring Jisshu Sengupta, Barkha Bisht, Idhika Paul and Anirban Chakrabarti.

The upcoming film also promises a series of foot-tapping numbers, including Rajar Raja, Kishori and Haye Re Biye.

Khadaan is produced by Surinder Films and Dev Entertainment Ventures.

As of Wednesday, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Pushpa 2: The Rise was ruling screens across India. The makers announced that the sequel has become the fastest Hindi film to breach the Rs 600-crore mark at the domestic box office.

Pushpa 2 will enter its third week in theatres on December 20, the same day Khadaan is set to release theatrically.

Mufasa: The Lion King, a prequel to Disney’s 2019 musical drama The Lion King, will also be released in Indian theatres on December 20 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.

Besides, Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh’s Baby John is set to hit screens on December 25.
