Colors TV’s celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 is set for a family-themed weekend episode with the theme ‘Mera Parivaar, Best Parivaar’ where the 12 celebrity contestants will reveal their struggles and the ridicule they had to brave during the course of their lives.

The episode has been marked by sparkling performances from popular faces of Indian television including Rubina Dilaik, Nia Sharma and Ali Asgar.

Amruta Khanvilkar dedicated his performance on Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hain to her mother, while Paras Kalnawat remembered his recently-deceased father through the performance.

Gashmeer Mahajani pulled off a captivating performance, conveying how he had to face financial struggles throughout his career and how his mother stood by him through it all. Actor Nia Sharma’s performance portrayed her affection for her brother, while Rubina Dilaik dedicated her performance to his husband.

Ali Asgar gave out his best performance at the show to silence those who criticised her for portraying female characters on-screen multiple times. Zorawar Kalra paid an earnest tribute to his co-workers and his friends through his performance.

Niti Taylor and her partner Akash through their performance portrayed the life of judge Karan Johar’s children Roohi and Yash. On seeing their heartfelt performance, Karan said, “I see the grown-up versions of my kids in you. I have no way of judging this performance because I was only watching my kids.”

The judges, too, couldn’t resist talking about their families. Madhuri Dixit Nene opened up about her life in the US as a wife and mother, her decision to come back to India and the incredible support she had from her husband. Karan Johar spoke about his mother, who supported his decision to be a father.
