The pre-release preview of Shah Rukh Khan's action thriller Jawan, dropped by the makers on Monday, has not only impressed fans but also blown away directors and actors in the Indian film industry, with filmmaker Karan Johar declaring it a blockbuster movie almost two months prior to its September 7 release.
“BHAI!!!!! This is going to be a juggernaut of a blockbuster! And @atlee47 you have done it again! Wowww, can’t wait!!! @imsrk,” the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director wrote on Instagram Stories.
The action-packed Jawan Prevue unveils Shah Rukh's daring bald look and features special appearances by Nayanthara and Deepika Padukone. Additionally, it shows glimpses of Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani in the action thriller helmed by filmmaker Atlee Kumar.
The preview also had actress Huma Qureshi and filmmakers Sujoy Ghosh and Srijit Mukherji excited.
“Man, that last few seconds of the Jawan trailer… gotey gripping stuff! I bow to you @iamsrk,” an ecstatic Sujoy wrote on Twitter. “Tooooo good!! Jhoomey jo Jawan…,” he wrote in a follow-up tweet.
Sharing the prevue on Instagram, Tarla actress Huma Qureshi wrote, “Fire only one @iamsk. Atlee sir killed it.”
National Award-winning filmmaker Srijit Mukherji also heaped praises on the Jawan prevue. “The Khoka Prophecy. Chapter 2,” he wrote, alluding to a dialogue in his 2020 film Dwitiyo Purush in which a character named Khoka had predicted that Shah Rukh would script a strong comeback soon.

Kolkata Knight Riders, the IPL team co-owned by Shah Rukh, also showered their love on the prevue. “Wake me up, when it’s September 7! #Jawan 🤩 ,” they wrote on Twitter.
