Sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor basked in sibling revelry on Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 11. The girls opened up about the difficult time they had following their mother Sridevi’s death and how they are each other’s go-to person for everything. From approving each other’s boyfriends to raiding closets, Janhvi, 26, and Khushi, 23, offered a glimpse into their sisterhood. Life after mother Sridevi’s sudden demise
In the wake of their mother’s passing, Khushi, who is the “emotionally equipped” one, took on the elder sister’s role but Janhvi believes the duo play each other’s “mom and baby” depending on the situation.
Recalling the moment when they got the news of Sridevi’s sudden death in Dubai, Janhvi heard Khushi wailing and barged into her sister’s room, howling. “But the moment she looked at me, she stopped crying and started comforting me. I have never seen her crying since,” said Janhvi.
Khushi admitted that it took her a while to process her loss. After their mother’s death, Janhvi and Khushi got closer to Arjun and Anshula Kapoor, their father’s children from his previous marriage. “It’s nice to have more people to ask stupid, silly questions all the time. They helped us to hold it together,” said Khushi about her step-siblings.

Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s younger daughter, Khushi, ran us through the moments when filmmaker Zoya Akhtar asked her to audition for The Archies after she had just returned from New York and had no intentions to join films immediately. But it was an emotional moment for her when she was picked to play Betty Cooper in The Archies. “I want to try everything,” said Khushi.
On the other hand, Janhvi, who is set to star opposite NTR Jr. in Devara, felt all the work she had done until now was like workshops. “I was lost like a headless chicken,” she said.
Dating and relationships
About her brewing romance with The Archies co-star Vedang Raina, Khushi was all smiles and said they were “just good friends”. In the rapid fire round, though, Janhvi observed that Khushi and Vedang “look cute” together.
Janhvi opened up about boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya with whom she got back after a brief relationship with a filmstar. “Shikhar would always sing ‘Nadaan parindey ghar aaja’,” said Janhvi, adding that Shikhar has always stood by her father, sister and other members of the family as a friend. “I have not seen many men capable of being there for another human being,” she said about Shikhar, with whom she often gets spotted, especially offering prayers at temples. Mentioning three people on her speed dial, Janhvi didn’t miss a beat to name Shikhar right after her father and Khushi.
Janhvi shared that relationships with film stars often get “turbulent and chaotic” as “they get consumed by vanity” and she would prefer someone who would be “obsessed” with her instead and return the “devotion” she has for him. In the rapid fire round, Janhvi mentioned receiving a piece of diamond jewellery in a romantic relationship. We wonder if that was a reveal about an engagement with Shikhar.
Friend Navya Naveli Nanda thought Janhvi wasn’t ready for KWK
Janhvi confessed that she had prepared hard for Koffee With Karan, though her friend Navya Naveli Nanda thought she wasn’t ready. Right at the start of the popular rapid fire round, Janhvi vowed to be brutally honest in her answers but alas, Navya proved to be right.
Asked to advise Khushi about her co-stars, Janhvi said that Khushi should be ready to babysit Varun Dhawan, must not try the scandalous things that Sara Ali Khan gets away with, and make sure not to like the same boy that Ananya Panday likes too. Both the sisters also said they admired Disha Patani a lot.
