Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan and her husband Nupur Shikhare celebrated their mehendi ceremony with friends and family on the Ampitheatre Lawns of Ananta resort in Udaipur on January 8.

While Ira looked gorgeous in a sleeveless white dress with intricate lacework, Nupur wore a pink shirt underneath a maroon waistcoat.

In one of the pictures, the groom, aptly nicknamed Popeye by friends, was seen flexing his muscles. Known for his quirks, Nupur recently grabbed the headlines when he jogged from Santa Cruz to Bandra — a distance of almost 8 km — to reach the wedding venue in Mumbai on the day of their registration with a small group of friends.

Little Things actress Mithila Palkar also attended the event. Clad in a baby pink blouse paired with a matching shrug and a frilled skirt, the 30-year-old actress showed off her mehendi design with her friends.

Nupur and his friends, including Mithila, let their hair down on the dance floor in one of the videos shared on Instagram. They performed the signature step of Badshah’s 2022 hit song Jugnu.

Later, the newlyweds posed for a picture with their guests at the venue.

Ira and Nupur, who had reportedly met each other during the Covid-induced lockdown, tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in Mumbai on January 3. Soon after, the newlyweds jetted off to Udaipur for a three-day-long celebration that kickstarted with ‘Hi Tea’ at Ridgeview Restaurant on January 7.

In her Instagram stories, Ira revealed a detailed itinerary of her wedding festivities on Sunday. Videos shared by paparazzi accounts reveal how the couple had thoroughly enjoyed their pajama party on Monday. The groom danced his heart out to the tunes of Honey Singh’s Lungi Dance.

In yet another video, Nupur was joined by Ira as the duo grooved to the beats of Rihanna's Please Don't Stop The Music.

With the mehendi ceremony over, Ira and Nupur are all ready to host their sangeet on January 9. The couple will once again exchange wedding vows on January 10 in a grand ceremony, which will reportedly be attended by several Bollywood A-listers.
