Ace director Shoojit Sircar is back with his new film, I Want to Talk, after the 2021 Vicky Kaushal-starrer, Sardar Udham. The first poster of the new film, which stars Abhishek Bachchan in a never-before-seen avatar, was dropped by the makers on Friday.

“Bolne ke liye toh bohot kuch hai but then, a picture ‘talks’ a thousand words. #IWantToTalk In Cinemas 22nd November,” production house Rising Sun Films wrote on Instagram alongside the poster.

In the poster, a bespectacled Abhishek features in his loungewear, with distinct surgery marks on his belly and a bandaged hand. With an irked expression on his face, he stands in his kitchen and seems to be perplexed.

“A father and his daughter navigate their routine lives in India until an unexpected medical diagnosis alters their path,” reads the synopsis of the movie on IMDb.

Recently, an announcement teaser of the film was shared by Abhishek as well. “We all know that one person who ̶l̶o̶v̶e̶s̶ lives to talk. Here’s the story of a man who always looks at the brighter side of life, no matter what life throws at him,” he had captioned the video on Instagram, which shows a bobblehead of Abhishek’s character nodding away on the dash of a moving car.

The film, which was previously scheduled for a November 15 release, is now set to hit the screens worldwide on November 22 and also stars Pearle Dey, Johnny Lever, Ahilya Bamroo, Jayant Kripalani and Kristin Goddard. While Avik Mukhopadhyay has served as the cinematographer, Taba Chake is in charge of its soundtrack.

Abhishek, who was last seen in the sports drama Ghoomer alongside Saiyami Kher, was showered with praises and best wishes for his new project in the comments section. He will be next seen as the antagonist in Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming film King, which reportedly stars Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter, Suhana, together for the first time. The actor also has Remo D’Souza’s Be Happy and Housefull 5 in the pipeline.
