Hrithik Roshan shares BTS images of Ashutosh Gowariker and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to celebrate 15 years of Jodhaa Akbar

The War actor will next be seen in Pathaan director Siddharth Anand’s upcoming aviation action film Fighter

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan penned a heartfelt note on the 15th anniversary of his 2008 movie Jodhaa Akbar and thanked its director Ashutosh Gowariker for making him a part of the historical drama.

The War actor took to Twitter to share some behind-the-scenes images from the making of the period drama. “Happy Birthday @ashutoshgowariker. Thank you for trusting me with the monumental responsibility of being a part of Jodhaa Akbar. Your direction & my incredible co-stars will forever be cherished. #15yearsOfJodhaaAkbar,” he wrote.

Hrithik posted another note to celebrated 15 years of Jodhaa Akbar. “Jodhaa and Akbar’s love shines brightly across the ages as a symbol of mutual respect, tolerance and open-mindedness. Today we celebrate the 15th year since our journey that brought their eternal romance to the silver screen,” he wrote.

The actor also posted some other images on Instagram with the same caption.

Released on February 15, 2008, Jodhaa Akbar showcased the romance between Mughal emperor Akbar and Rajput princess Jodhaa Bai of Amber, who were married to form a political alliance.

Hrithik played Akbar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan essayed the role of Jodhaa in the film, which also starred Sonu Sood, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Suhasini Mulay, Raza Murad, Poonam Sinha, Rajesh Vivek and Ila Arun. A. R. Rahman composed the score for the film. Upon its release, Jodhaa Akbar became a critical and commercial success as it went on to become the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 2008.

Last seen in Pushkar–Gayathri’s neo-noir action thriller Vikram Vedha, Hrithik will next be seen in Pathaan director Siddharth Anand’s upcoming aviation action film Fighter.
