Mor Mor / Good Luck Jerry
Zee Music Company has released the first song from Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming dark-comedy film Good Luck Jerry titled Mor Mor. Sung by Deedar Kaur, Gurlej Akhtar, Vivek Hariharan and Parag Chhabra and composed by Parag Chhabra, the energetic song is picturised on a chase sequence.
As Jerry and her family are caught in the middle of a faulty drug-deal, they are being chased by both gangsters and the police as they try to make profit from the banned substance. Directed by Siddharth Sen, the film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Sahil Mehta, Mita Vashisht and Sushant Singh among others. Good Luck Jerry will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on July 29.
Byomkesh Hotyamancha
SVF has released the official trailer of their upcoming detective film Byomkesh Hotyamancha. Bengali superstar Abir Chatterjee will resume the role of the titular sleuth after a gap of four years. Helmed by Arindam Sil, the film is based on Saradindu Bandyopadhyay’s Novel Bishupal Bodh.
The one-minute-seven-seconds long trailer hints at the newest murder-mystery in front of truth-seeker Byomkesh Bakshi. A brutal murder takes place during a play and sparkels a web of hinious acts. The sleuth has to solve the mystery and stop the killer from striking again. The film also stars Sohini Sarkar and Paoli Dam. Byomkesh Hotyamancha will hit the theaters on August 11.
Thallumaala
The trailer of Malayalam star Tovino Thomas’ upcoming film Thallumaala was released by the makers. The action-comedy also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan opposite Tovino.
The Minnal Murali actor essays the role of Wazim, while Kalyani plays the role of an Instagram influencer. The video gives a visual representation of the modern world. It looks thrilling and impressive, the chemistry between the lead pair also looks good. Thallumaala will release in theaters on August 12.
Carter
On Monday, Netflix dropped the trailer for Korean action-thriller Carter. The film is Byung-gil Jung’s brutal thriller about a man (Joo Won) who wakes up with no memory.
The high-octane trailer shows that the man needs to transport a child to North Korea amid a viral apocalypse as the child may hold the key to the vaccine. Carter will be available to stream on Netflix from August 5.
The Idol
HBO has released the official trailer of their upcoming series The Idol starring pop star The Weeknd. Apart from The Weeknd, the series stars Lily-Rose Depp, Troye Sivan, Tunde Adebimpe, and BLACKPINK rapper Jennie.
The trailer showcases how the show chronicles the story of a rising pop star in Hollywood who engages in a scandalous relationship with a club owner, who is also a leader of a secret cult. The show is produced by Euphoria producer Sam Levinson. HBO is yet to announce the release date of The Idol.
Another Self
Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming Turkish show Another Self. The drama series focuses on the undying bond among friends.
The two-minute-nine-second-long trailer revolves around three friends — Ada, Sevgi and Leyla — as they take on a journey to overcome their dead ends after facing their pasts. The biggest focus of the story is the friendship between these women. Another Self is set to release on Netflix on July 28.
