Team Aador recently got together for the trailer launch of the film. Directed by Debdut Ghosh, the film stars Rajatava Dutta, Tulika Basu, Pradip Chakraborty, Basabdatta, Biplab Bandhopadhay, Manashi Sinha, Piu Mukhopadhyay and more. Sabyasachi Chakrabarty makes a special appearance.

The story begins with a village lawyer named Joyram Mukherjee, a person of moderate income who gets an elephant to respond to the arrogance of a zamindar family. Joyram was the legal advisor to the zamindar’s late father and had saved him from many critical situations. He had requested the zamindar to send an elephant for his daughter’s marriage. Joyram was under the impression that the zamindar won’t refuse such a humble request of a friend of his late father. However, the zamindar’s wife rudely refuses Joyram’s request. He feels insulted at this behaviour and becomes so adamant that he buys an elephant with all the money that  he had saved for the future of his family. Soon the young elephant becomes a part of his family and Joyram starts to treat her like his own daughter.

“When I had planned to direct a film I told myself why not make a film on the human-animal relationship? Then the story Adorini by Prabhat Mukhopadhyay came to my mind. What a touching story of love and estrangement. A father-daughter story where the daughter is an elephant. Their love and their struggle compelled me and my team to make a film on this. And I’m ever grateful to Shreyashi Entertainment as they came forward to produce this film,” said Debdut.

“It was a great opportunity to work in a film that talks of the human-animal relationship. Grateful to Debdut Ghosh for casting me. A great creative team to back him did justice to the project. A wonderful cast did the rest,” said Sabyasachi.
