The eighth season of Koffee with Karan saw the light of day with the mega duo of Deepika Padukone and Rannveer Singh. The one-hour episode streaming on Disney+Hotstar has a posh set, monochromatic style and a pure, intimate chat format. The good thing is that there is no imposed controversy or argument. On the contrary, the show has nothing new to tell. There is absolutely no information about anything. After seven seasons, as an audience, I expect something more, something new which makes it worth watching. The first episode was kind of boring to me. The ‘Imposter’ game is obscure. The rapid fire round is also cliched. At this stage of the show, we at least expect something interesting, some valuable story or some untold story of the glamour world which can motivate and influence or at least entertain to some extent. I may be biased, but the choice of guests made the episode have my heart from the very beginning. Glimpses of reasons why Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s chemistry still ‘rightfully’ gives us #CoupleGoals is definitely the main reason why I liked S08E01 of Koffee with Karan.

I thoroughly enjoyed Koffee with Karan Season 8 Episode 1, but at some point it felt over-dramatic and fake. It felt like a heart-to-heart conversation, which was genuine but then again I wanted to listen to the couple more than what Karan had to say. It was fun to watch a sweet and endearing couple sit together and chatting about their lives. I liked how Deepika spoke about marriage as work for every individual from any fraternity. The best moments were when the AV of their marriage was played and when Ranveer was looking at Deepika while she was talking. The sweet peck on the arm that was continuously being showered by Ranveer on Deepika was one of the show’s cutest parts.

Mostly, what I loved about the episode was how they both shared a rapport in the rapid fire round and especially when Karan spoke his heart out regarding how he feels lonely. Nonetheless, it was a sweet chat show with less controversy but I didn’t like the imposter game, it didn’t make sense and moreover the questions of the rapid fire round could have been more interesting.

The eighth season of the popular celebrity chat show Koffee with Karan returned with a bang, welcoming actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh and engaging them in a candid conversation with exuberant host Karan Johar. Walking down memory lane, the couple reminisced their early struggles, rise to fame and unsettling setbacks, with their gestures of the romance-novel variety stirring up excitement throughout. Their bond has been characterised by unwavering support towards each other in the face of criticism, encouraging them to bounce back stronger than ever. Though the entire episode was fantastic, I believe their wedding video grabbed the limelight effortlessly. Watching Deepika as a graceful bride alongside the dapper Ranveer awaiting to embark on a journey of a lifetime was elegant and spellbinding. The happiness on Deepika’s face naturally defines the joy her husband brings in her life and shields her from any kind of negativity. The fact that their wedding not only marked the union of two individuals but also that of two cultures was remarkable. They are indeed soulmates celebrating each other’s success wholeheartedly as well as navigating through their highly competitive professions. In real life, we seldom come across such a genuine relationship which is centred around affection and admiration, inspiring us to hold on to our better half irrespective of what the future has in store for us. If there is true love, nothing is impossible and #DeepVeer is an impactful byword of this quote. Totally loved them on screen together!

I loved the premiere episode of Season 8 of my favourite celebrity talk show Koffee with Karan, which was graced by the Bollywood couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Several moments from the episode left my heart melting. I hugely enjoyed watching #DeepVeer’s fairy-tale wedding video, which was unveiled in the episode. I also loved listening to Ranveer’s story of how he proposed to DP in the middle of an island amidst the sea in Maldives in 2015. According to me, this debut episode of the fresh season is one of the best episodes of this popular chat show to date.
