Students of Las Encinas are thrust into chaos as they try to unravel a new murder mystery, navigating sex, paranoia and lies through the process in the trailer of the eighth and final season of Netflix’s Spanish teen drama Elite.
Dropped by the streamer on Thursday, the two-minute-seven-second-long trailer shows Omar (Omar Ayuso) and his sister Nadia (Mina El Hammani) reuniting before their graduation. However, the students are challenged once again as a new murder mystery opens up, pushing their friendships as well as enmities to the brink. The video teases how Omar embarks on a mission to find justice for Joel Huesos (Fernando Linez), who gets murdered under mysterious circumstances.
Ayuso’s character has starred in every season of Elite, except for Season 6, and is set to appear in the final instalment as well. El Hammani’s Nadia, on the other hand, last appeared in Season 4.
Elite revolves around the lives of students at an exclusive private school. The story begins when three working-class teens attend the school on the merit of scholarships after their own public school collapses. Their arrival sparks conflict with the wealthy students, leading to intense drama, romance and a series of mysterious events.
Elite Season 8 will hit Netflix on July 26.
