Shah Rukh Khan’s signature pose lit up the Dubai sky as an army of drones recreated the Bollywood star’s image during a projection of his upcoming movie Dunki on Burj Khalifa on Tuesday.
Clad in a red leather jacket, the Jawan star watched the spectacle from a boat on a nearby lake and struck the iconic pose for fans lining up the embankment ahead of the Rajkumar Hirani-directed comedy drama’s release on December 21.
Sharing the video on X, Pooja Dadlani, Shah Rukh’s manager, gushed about the stunning drone show. She mentioned that Dunki, dubbed as Shah Rukh’s Christmas release, is all about “festivities and celebrations”.
“Dunki & @iamsrk lighting up the skies in Dubai!!! A marvellous drone show organised near the Burj Khalifa for the first time ever to celebrate a film and of course… a very special person and an extremely special film!” she wrote on the microblogging platform.
In the video, Dunki song Lutt Putt Gaya plays in the background just as the drones create the pattern of Shah Rukh, Hirani and Gauri Khan’s names in the sky. The show ended with an aeroplane pattern followed by a reminder of the film’s release date.
Marking the first collaboration between Hirani and Shah Rukh, Dunki also stars Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover. It is written by Abhijat Joshi, Hirani and Kanika Dhillon.
