Deadpool & Wolverine is the 55th movie ever to hit the billion mark in worldwide collections. It is also the eighth fastest movie to achieve this feat (18 days), a day faster than Inside Out 2 (19 days).

In India, the Marvel superhero movie is inching closer to the Rs 130 crore nett mark. The film minted Rs 89.9 crore nett in the first week, followed by Rs 27.9 crore nett in Week 2. With an additional Rs 9.18 crore nett in the third weekend, the total earnings of Deadpool & Wolverine in India so far stands at Rs 126.98 crore nett.

The Shawn Levy-helmed MCU movie has become only the second R-rated movie to achieve this feat, following 2019’s Joker. Deadpool & Wolverine is expected to surpass Joker’s USD 1.079 billion lifetime collection by the end of the week, making it the highest-grossing R-rated film worldwide.

Deadpool & Wolverine marks Disney’s second billion-dollar hit of the year, following Inside Out 2, and only the second movie of 2024 to reach this milestone. With these successes, Disney remains the only studio to deliver consecutive USD 1 billion releases within a single year.
