Citadel agent Diana Cavalieri, played by Matilda De Angelis, strives to uncover the truth behind her parents’ death in the action-packed trailer for Citadel: Diana, the Italian instalment of Prime Video and AGBO’s Citadel franchise.

Dropped by Prime Video on Wednesday, the trailer begins with Diana vowing to her sister that she would avenge the deaths of their parents. Subsequent scenes show Diana working undercover for the global spy agency Citadel, which was destroyed by their powerful enemy syndicate Manticore.

Diana goes undercover and infiltrates Edo Zani’s (Lorenzo Cervasio) Manticore Italy as a new recruit. She, however, is forced to rely on the Zanis, who may have been responsible for her parents' deaths.

The trailer goes on to display Diana’s exceptional combat skills as blazing gunfire and reverberating explosions fill the screen. The video ends with Diana firing a barrage of bullets while suspended in the air.

Citadel: Diana, directed by Arnaldo Catinari and developed by Alessandro Fabbri, is produced by the Russo brothers, who also produced the original series starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. It is slated to hit Prime Video on October 10.

The first season of the original show premiered on Prime Video on April 28, 2023. The series has already been renewed for a second season and will begin production this year, with Joe Russo serving as the director.

An Indian adaptation of the global series will arrive on Prime Video on November 7. Named Citadel: Honey Bunny, it stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan in the lead.
