BTS’ eldest member Jin’s debut solo album Happy, marking his comeback after discharge from the South Korean military, is set to release on November 15, the K-pop boy band’s agency Bighit Music announced on Weverse recently.

“Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We are thrilled to share the details of BTS member Jin's first solo album, Happy. Happy is Jin's heartfelt invitation for fans to join him on his journey to discover happiness. The album features six tracks, each with its own unique vibe, all grounded in a band sound. Signing off, the agency added, “In addition to the album release, Jin will be engaging with fans through various activities. We ask for your continued love and support for Jin as he makes his solo return with Happy.”

The album will be available to pre-order from 7:30 am IST on Wednesday. It will be released on November 15 at 10:30 am IST. BigHit Music also shared a 19-second teaser on X, which concluded with the words, “You are loved”.

Happy will include a host of solo singles released by Jin over the years, including 2019’s Tonight, 2020’s Abyss and 2022’s The Astronaut. Before the album’s announcement, the singer also released the full version of his song Super Tuna.

Jin was discharged from the South Korean military on June 12 after completing his mandatory duties for 18 months. The singer celebrated his return to civilian life by hugging 1,000 fans who won a raffle at this year's BTS FESTA, the annual celebration of the band's debut anniversary, in Seoul on June 13. Later that day, Jin held a meet-and-greet event for fans, which was also live-streamed on Weverse.

The BTS singer worked as an assistant drill instructor at the Army recruit training centre during his service. The 31-year-old singer became the first of BTS’ seven members to complete their military service after enlisting in December 2022.

Jin is the last member of BTS to release a solo album, following projects by his bandmates Jungkook, Jimin, V, SUGA, RM and J-Hope. BTS is expected to reunite in 2025 after all the members complete their military service.
