BTS member Jimin is set to drop his second solo album MUSE on July 19, over a year after the release of his debut full-length album FACE, the K-pop band’s record label BigHit Music announced alongside a teaser for the upcoming album on Monday.
The teaser features the Filter singer strolling through a dimly lit locker room and approaching one of the lockers. As he opens the locker, Jimin finds a piece of sheet music with the title “La Lettera” written on it. The singer then notices a small text below which reads, "You will always find the first letter.”
The teaser ends with Jimin leaving the room with the sheet music in his hand. The singer sports a loose-fit blazer suit and blonde hair.
BigHit Music later shared details of the album on X. “We are excited to share details about the release of BTS member Jimin’s second solo album, “MUSE.” Following his first solo album, “FACE,” where he sought to explore his true identity, “MUSE” documents his journey in search of the source of his inspiration. Showcasing Jimin’s expanded musical spectrum, “MUSE” includes seven tracks, including the fan song “Closer Than This,” released in December 2023,” reads the statement.
Jimin’s last solo project FACE gained popularity worldwide and earned the second spot on the US Billboard 200 charts.
At present, the singer is serving in the South Korean military with his other fellow bandmates — RM, J-Hope, Suga, V and Jungkook. The eldest member of the band, Jin recently completed his mandatory military duties and was discharged from the army on June 12. BTS is expected to make a comeback in 2025 after all the members complete their army duties.
