BTS member Jimin dropped his new album MUSE and the music video for the single WHO on Friday, garnering over 1.1 million views for the latter on YouTube within a few hours.
Directed by YongSeok Choi, the three-minute-28-second music video features Jimin showing his graceful moves under the neon-lit streetlights and roadside shops. The track exudes a pop-rock rhythm with a 90s’ vibe with the singer sporting a leather jacket and ripped denims for the video.
The song is dedicated to an unknown lover, promising endless devotion and love, with every note yearning for a connection that will last a lifetime.
“We never met but she’s all I see at night, never met but she’s always on my mind, wanna give her the World and so much more, Who is my heart waiting for,” reads the lyrics.
The Serendipity singer also dropped his album MUSE along with the WHO music video. The album comprises seven tracks — Rebirth, Interlude, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, Slow Dance, Be Mine, WHO and Closer Than This.
Earlier, Jimin’s another single, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. LOCO), was released with a music video. The video has already garnered over 17 million views on YouTube.
Jimin is supposed to make a special appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to perform his latest single WHO on July 22. Jimmy Fallon announced the news by sharing a promotional video on Instagram in which he holds a customised soda can with Jimin's face on it, before revealing a collection of plushies and an LED display flashing the title of the song.
Jimin is also gearing up to showcase his adventures in a new travel reality series titled Are You Sure?! with his bandmate Jungkook. Produced exclusively for Disney+, the series promises a look at the duo's travels across three locations.
Slated for release on August 8, the travel show provides a unique glimpse into the personal lives of Jimin and Jungkook in 2023 before they began their mandatory military service.
Other members of BTS — RM, Suga, J-Hope and V — are also serving in the South Korean Military and are likely to make a comeback in 2025.
