Bobby Deol felt “overwhelmed” as he celebrated his 55th birthday surrounded by fans who garlanded him and arranged for a five-tiered cake on January 27, the actor said in a video featuring glimpses of celebrations in different parts of India.
“As I celebrate another year, I’m filled with gratitude for the love and support that you all have given me throughout this beautiful journey,” the Animal actor wrote alongside the video posted on Sunday.
Fans from all over the country got together to celebrate the actor’s birthday. The video shows fans assembling on the streets where they had put up posters and banners carrying some of Bobby’s iconic moments from his films. Sporting t-shirts with the actor’s name and face, the fans chanted ‘happy birthday’ as Bobby entered and cut the five-tiered cake.
“The love I have just witnessed, from the fans and the press photographers, is just overwhelming,” Bobby’s voiceover said in the video.
Donning a blue jacket and bell-bottoms, Bobby concluded the video by saying, “I love you guys and I hope and pray that all your dreams come true. Never give up. Always be focussed, always have self-belief. And God bless all of you.”
Bobby, who made a smashing debut with the 1995 film Barsaat and revived his career with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 film Animal, is next going to star in director Siva’s Tamil action-fantasy film Kanguva alongside Suriya and Disha Patani. The film is slated to release in theatres later this year.
