Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 18 will air on Colors TV and stream on JioCinema from October 6, the makers announced with a new promo video on Sunday.
While the first promo of the season released last week featured only Salman’s voice, the new promo gave fans the first glimpse of Salman as the host for the show.
In the new promo, Salman is seen dressed in a dark blue shirt paired with a black suit, standing atop a giant ticking clock. He begins by explaining that while the iconic Bigg Boss eye has always focused on the present, this season will take viewers on a ride through the past, present and future. The journey is visually depicted by Salman's time machine-like voyage, with imagery of hourglasses, masks, and cameras floating alongside him.
The promo ends with Salman looking directly into the camera and dramatically reinforcing the season’s theme: Time ka Tandav.
Colors TV, the broadcaster of the reality show, shared the promo on Instagram with the caption: “Iss baar ghar mein bhuchaal aayega, kyunki Bigg Boss mein Time Ka Taandav chaayega!”
Salman’s return to Bigg Boss is highly anticipated after he skipped hosting Bigg Boss OTT 3, the digital version of the show, which streamed on JioCinema earlier this year. Anil Kapoor filled in as host for that season, where actor Sana Makbul emerged as the winner. Salman last hosted Bigg Boss 17 on television, where stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui took home the trophy.
Having first taken the reins of Bigg Boss in 2010 for Season 4, Salman Khan has since become the face of the reality show based on the format of the American show Big Brother. He also hosted the second season of Bigg Boss OTT, while Karan Johar hosted the inaugural instalment.
