This season of Bigg Boss is centered around the theme of Dil, Dimaag, and Dum. Accordingly, the Bigg Boss house has been divided into three sections, named after the themes and housemates have been divided into three teams as well. Munawar Faruqui, Abhishek Kumar, Rinku Dhawan, Khanzaadi and Sunny Arya made it to the Dum team, while the Dimaag team consisted of Anurag Dobhal, Navid Sole, Sana Raees Khan, Jigna Vora, Arun Mashettey and Soniya Bansal. The rest — Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Aishwarya Sharma, Neil Bhat, Isha Malviya, Mannara Chopra — formed the Dil team.

New Bigg Boss anthem

The first episode of Bigg Boss 17 saw housemates enthusiastically begin their new journey as they danced together to a new Bigg Boss morning anthem. Bigg Boss announced a unique morning ritual for the contestants — they will have to form a queue every morning and sing the anthem, reinforcing the essence of this season’s theme.

Bigg Boss says he will be ‘biased’

On the first day itself, Bigg Boss made it clear that he would be biased on the show, but his bias would lean towards those contestants who actively contribute to the house's dynamics and tasks. The message sent a clear signal that non-participation would not be tolerated.

Distribution of chores causes chaos in the house

Tensions ran high in the house as the contestants bickered amongst themselves during the distribution of house duties and chores. Bigg Boss announced that the Dimaag team would run the house and they would take the final call regarding assignment of chores. The Dil and Dum members weren’t happy with the decision.

Catfights break out between housemates

The Dimaag team decided to play a prank on the other housemates and announced that they could change their bedroom but had only two minutes to do so. The sudden announcement saw housemates hastily changing rooms and beds, leading to an ugly fight between Soniya and Abhishek. The fiery exchange did not sit well with the housemates, setting the stage for potential future conflicts.

The love-hate dynamics between Isha and Abhishek has become evident on the show. Their relationship alternates between fiery arguments and cosy moments. Meanwhile, the house also witnessed a budding friendship between Munawar and Mannara, with the two seen playfully teasing each other. However, not all interactions were pleasant. A verbal spat ensued between Isha and Mannara over Abhishek's choice of rooms.
