Evicted Bigg Boss 16 contestant Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia has thanked her fans for the love and support they bestowed upon her while she competed on the Salman Khan-hosted reality show.

Nimrit, who won the Ticket To Finale Week last week on Bigg Boss 16, was eliminated from the contest on Monday’s episode, seven days ahead of the grand finale.

The Choti Sarrdaarni actress posted a video on Instagram after coming out of the Bigg Boss 16 house to thank her fans. “I feel extremely proud of not just myself but also all of you. I can’t begin to thank you guys… You have done so much. This journey would not have been possible without any of you,” she said.

“I want to spend all of my time to reach out to each one of you and thank you from the bottom of my heart. I could make it to the top six, and make this journey so memorable, only because of you guys,” she added.

Nimrit also met Sumbul Touqeer Khan, her fellow contestant and friend who was evicted from Bigg Boss 16 on Saturday. The duo sang the Bigg Boss anthem together when they met outside the Bigg Boss house. “Namya and Sumbya reunion, Haq se Mandali, end tak Mandali,” Nimrit wrote on her Instagram Story.

With her eviction, Shiv Thakare, Shalin Bhanot, Archana Gautam, Priyanka Chahar Chaudhury and MC Stan have become the five finalists of this season of Bigg Boss.

In a surprise move in last night’s episode, Bigg Boss brought members of the audience inside the house for a unique eviction task. The six contestants had to perform in front of the live audience over three rounds. After each round, the audience would cast their vote to save their favourite housemate. The ballots would be tallied at the end of all three rounds, and the contestant with least votes would be evicted.

In the first round, the housemates had to give a speech and convince the audience why they deserved to be in the grand finale. In the second round, they had to speak about their opponents while the third round was for showcasing their dancing or singing skills.

Archana, who had fought an election in the past, kicked off the competition with a fiery speech. Although she tried hard to make the audience believe that she was genuine on the show, they weren’t convinced. Shiv Thakare received the most cheers the moment he climbed on to the stage. Shalin was constantly taunted for his chicken-obsession. Priyanka and Nimrit gave emotional speeches about their struggling days as an actor.

In the performance round, Shiv and Nimrit grooved to the beats of Kala Chasma while Priyanka sizzled on the stage, dancing to Param Sundari. Stan wooed the audience with his rap but it was Shalin and Archana who put up a funny-yet-entertaining act. They both fell down from the stage when Shalin tried to lift Archana, giving the audience a good laugh.

In the end, Nimrit could not garner enough votes in her support and had to leave the house. Before walking out, she told Stan and Shiv that she wants them to become the final two contestants on February 12, which is the date for the grand finale of Bigg Boss 16.
