Singer Shreya Ghoshal has announced that auditions for Season 15 of the Indian Idol are set to begin in cities across India.
"Apni awaaz se jeetiye desh ka dil! Indian Idol ke auditions aa rahe hain aapke sheher mein, jald hi (Conquer your country’s heart with your voice. Indian Idol auditions will soon begin in your cities)," she wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, sharing a short video of her announcing the date and time for Delhi auditions.
Revealing that the auditions for the singing reality show would soon start in various Indian cities, the 40-year-old singer encouraged aspiring singers to attend the auditions. She mentioned that auditions in Delhi are scheduled to take place on August 25 at JBM Global School in Noida.
The previous season of Indian Idol was hosted by Hussain Kuwajerwala and Aditya Narayan, with Kumar Sanu, Shreya Ghoshal and Vishal Dadlani serving as judges. The finale took place on March 3, 2024. Vaibhav Gupta was crowned as the winner, while Subhadeep Das Chowdhury became the first runner-up.
The popular singing reality show on Sony Entertainment Television is the Indian adaptation of the British show Pop Idol.
On the work front, Shreya recently recorded the track Zaroorat Se Zyada for John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh’s Vedaa. She has also recorded the Hindi version of the song Angaaron from the upcoming film Pushpa 2: The Rule starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.
