Best wishes from members of the acting and cricketing fraternity poured in for the newlyweds Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul following their wedding at actor Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Kandala, Maharashtra, on Monday.

The team India cricketer and the actress tied the knot after dating each other for over three years.

Former team India skipper Virat Kohli was among the first few celebrities to congratulate the couple on their wedding. His wife, actress Anushka Sharma, followed it with a congratulatory note for the couple on her Instagram story. Resharing their wedding pictures on her Instagram story, Anushka wrote, “Congratulations @athiyashetty and @klrahul. Wishing you both a lifetime of togetherness, immense love and light.”

Alia Bhatt also shared Athiya and Rahul’s wedding pictures on her Instagram story to congratulate the newlyweds. Alia’s Raazi co-star Vicky Kaushal also commented, “Congratulations!!! 🤗❤️” on the couple’s wedding post.

In a warm note for Athiya and Rahul, Bhediya actress Kriti Sanon wrote, “Verified Congratulations Athiyyyaaa! So so happy for you both! ❤️❤️ lots of love!!”. Her Shehzada co-star Kartik Aaryan also congratulated the couple on their special day.

Filmmaker, producer and talk show host Karan Johar congratulated the couple on his Instagram story. “Congratulations @athiyashetty @klrahul....Here's to decades of love and happiness,” he wrote.
