Arjun Kapoor will play the villain in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming cop drama Singham Again, also known as Singham 3, actor-producer Ajav Devgn announced sharing first-look pictures of the antagonist on Instagram.
“Iss toofan ke liye tayaar ho jao (Get ready for this storm),” wrote Ajay on Instagram on Wednesday.
One of the pictures shows Arjun’s character grinning malevolently with his face smeared with blood. In yet another photo, the actor locks eyes with Ranveer Singh, who is set to reprise his role as ACP Sangram Bhalerao, a.k.a, Simmba, in the third instalment of the popular movie franchise.
After Ajay’s announcement, Arjun, too, shared the news with his fans on Instagram. Actors Bobby Deol and Varun Dhawan reacted to the post, extending their best wishes to Arjun for his latest project.
The fifth instalment in Rohit’s cop universe, Singham Again is billed as a sequel to the 2014 actioner Singham Returns. Led by Ajay as DCP Bajirao Singham, the film also features Deepika Padukone, who will reportedly play Lady Singham. Alongside Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar will return as DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, a.k.a Surya, in the upcoming action drama.
The ensemble cast of Singham Again also includes Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Shweta Tiwari. Tiger Shroff is set to join Rohit’s cop universe this time as ACP Satya.
Produced under the banners of Rohit Shetty Picturez, Reliance Entertainment, Jio Studios and Ajay Devgn FFilms, Singham Again is slated to hit theatres on Independence Day this year.
