Actress Anushka Sharma is all set to make her Cannes Film Festival debut at the 76th edition of the prestigious event, to be held in France from May 16 to 27.
The 35-year-old will be joining Titanic star Kate Winslet for an event which will honour women in cinema.
Anushka's Cannes debut was confirmed by the French Ambassador to India Emmanuel Lenain, who took to Twitter on Thursday to share a photo of him posing with Anushka and Virat Kohli.
"I wished Virat & #TeamIndia all the best for the upcoming tournaments, and discussed Anushka's trip to #CannesFilmFestival," the tweet read.
Two Indian films — Anurag Kashyap's Kennedy and Kani Behl's Agra — will be screened this year at Cannes.
Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have served as jury members for the prestigious French film festival in the past. Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari and Tamannaah Bhatia have walked the red carpet of the film festival.
