Animal actress Triptii Dimri has topped IMDb’s weekly list of popular Indian celebrities, while the film’s director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has bagged the second place following the box office success of the Ranbir Kapoor-headlined action drama, the online entertainment database platform revealed in a post on Tuesday.
The latest list of popular Indian celebrities, shared by IMDb on Instagram, features The Archies stars Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor at the third and the fourth positions, respectively.
As per the official Instagram handle of IMDb, the list features Indian actors, filmmakers, cinematographers and writers trending globally, and it is determined by over 200 million fans worldwide based on page views on the platform.
The list features Rajkumar Hirani and Zoya Akhtar at 31st and 37th positions, respectively. Comedian Kanan Gill, who recently starred in the Netflix holiday film Christmas as Usual, occupied the 25th position.
Triptii, who garnered rave reviews for her acting in Laila Majnu (2018), Bulbul (2020) and Qala (2022), has been making headlines for her cameo in Animal. In the film, she portrays a negative character sent by Ranvijay’s (Ranbir) enemies to seduce him as part of a conspiracy.
The 29-year-old actress has already started shooting for her upcoming film, Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, which will feature her alongside Vicky Kaushal.
