Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan has dropped glimpses from his recent ad shoot with wife Jaya Bachchan, talking about the “camaraderie” and “ingenuity” the real-life couple share on sets even today.

“And before that the Wife and the Husband together on set… for an Ad., and the camaraderie and ingenuity and the commonest of practices when the lighting and the shot construct is taking place,” the 80-year-old wrote in a 4am blog post after extending his Janamashthami wishes to fans.

Before writing the blog, Bachchan took to Instagram to share a slow-motion video from the ad shoot, captioning it “at work”. In the video, a decked-up Bachchan is seen panning the camera to shift the focus from himself to his wife and back to him. Jaya, 75, wears a smile as she sits beside her husband of 50 years.

The couple’s family members were among the several social media users who poured love on the duo in the comments section. Their daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda commented “cute”, while granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda commented “the cutest” on the Instagram reel that Bachchan shared.

The Bollywood power couple were seen together in several movies since they first starred opposite each other in the 1972 film Bansi Birju. They last shared screen space in the 2016 R. Balki film Ki & Ka, which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor.

Bachchan subsequently shared two images from the ad-shoot on Instagram. One of the pictures shows the couple engrossed in their respective phones. “Parents at work on shooting set .. as lights camera get ready 😂😂😂🤣 favourite pastime,” the caption read.

The second picture shows Jaya smiling at her phone while Amitabh looks at the screen.
