Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule will hit the theatres on August 15, 2024, announced the makers on Monday.

Earlier, the makers of Pushpa 2 dropped a three-minute-15-second-long teaser of the upcoming actioner on the occasion of Allu Arjun’s birthday in April. The video showed Pushpa getting grievously injured while trying to escape from Tirupati prison. Riots break out as rumours of his death spread. As a massive manhunt is launched by the police, a CCTV camera captures Pushpa deep inside the forest, scaring a tiger away.
The Pushpa franchise, headlined by Allu Arjun, is set in the Seshachalam forests in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, chronicling the journey of Pushpa Raj from a humble labourer to a formidable sandalwood smuggler.
Allu Arjun, who bagged the National Film Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Pushpa Raj, reprises his role in the sequel, while Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil returns as the antagonist — SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS. Rashmika Mandanna plays the role of Sri Valli, Pushpa Raj's love interest-turned-wife.
Directed by Sukumar,.Pushpa 2 boasts an ensemble cast that includes Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Prakash Raj, Jagapati Babu, Rao Ramesh, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Dhananjaya.
