The trailer for Hoichoi’s Dakghor dropped recently. Dakghor is a slice-of-life tale that follows an urban boy who lands the role of a postmaster in Hagda, after his father’s demise and decides to deliver some undelivered letters which make him rediscover life and explore simple rustic emotions and human values.
The trailer gives the audience a peek into the world of Hagda, a quaint village where people find happiness in the smallest of things, lead a simple life and live as one large family, equally involved in each other’s good and bad times. The arrival of a new postmaster, named, Damodar Das (essayed by Suhotra Mukhopadhyay) at their village is nothing short of a celebration.
Talking about being a part of a project like Dakghor, Ditipriya Roy who plays Monjori said: “Dakghor is a show that I fell in love with as soon as I heard the script. It’s very well-rounded, it has elements of comedy, drama, emotion and love. It’s heart-warming. It’s not just a story but an amalgamation of beautiful moments and gives viewers an insight into how simple yet fulfilling lives are in the heartland of Bengal.”
Adding to this Suhotra who plays the lead Damodar on the show, said: “Dakghor is simple, wholesome and takes you on a journey with the characters. You’ll feel their emotions, live their life and overcome obstacles with them.
My character initially feels like a fish out of water in this village, but eventually, he falls in love with the life, the people and finds his true purpose in this job and place. It’s a heartwarming tale and I’m sure it will stay with the audiences for a long time.” Dakghor streams from February 24 on Hoichoi.
