Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt-starrer romantic drama Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani beat the worldwide collections of Ranbir Kapoor's romantic comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar by minting Rs 225.2 crore at the global box office in 13 days, according to trade reports.

In India, the Karan Johar-helmed film earned Rs 4.10 crore nett on Day 13, taking its total domestic earnings to Rs 117.78 crore nett so far, highlighted box office records.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani had a decent opening on July 28, minting Rs 11.1 crore nett on the day of its release. It went on to earn Rs 34.8 crore nett during the first weekend and collected Rs 73.33 crore nett at the end of its first week of theatrical run.

The film began its second week at the box office with a collection of Rs 6.75 crore nett on second Friday, followed by Rs 23.3 crore nett over the second weekend. It minted Rs 4.30 crore nett on second Monday and the same amount on Tuesday, followed by a collection of Rs 4.10 crore nett on second Wednesday.

However, RRKPK will be facing tougher competition at the box office in the third week. With Rajinikanth's Jailer hitting theaters on Thursday, followed by the release of Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar on Friday, the film is expected to see a decline in its third weekend earnings at the cinemas.
