Actor Akshay Kumar on Monday shared a close-up of him dressed as Lord Shiva in a fresh poster of OMG 2, announcing that the makers will soon drop a teaser for the Amit Rai-directed satirical comedy.
"Bas kuchh dino mein... #OMG2 in theaters on August 11. Teaser Drops Soon," the 55-year-old wrote alongside the poster on Twitter.
Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam will also feature in key roles in OMG 2 alongside Akshay. The film will clash at the box office with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel-starrer Gadar 2: The Katha Continues, a sequel to Anil Sharma’s 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.
Previously, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, was also scheduled to release on August 11. However, the makers have now decided to postpone its release to December.
Birsa Dasgupta’s Bengali-language film Byomkesh O Durgo Rahoshyo, starring Dev as the iconic sleuth Byomkesh Bakshi, is also hitting cinemas on August 11. Dev recently unveiled a pre-teaser of the upcoming mystery thriller which stars Rukmini Maitra as Byomkesh’s wife Satyabati and Ambarish Bhattacharya as his sidekick Ajit Bandyopadhyay.
