Ajav Devgn has joined hands with Queen director Vikas Bahl for his upcoming supernatural drama Shaitaan starring R. Madhavan and Jyothika Saravanan, the 54-year-old actor-producer announced on Friday, sharing a poster and the release date of the film.

“#Shaitaan is coming for you. Taking over cinemas on 8th March 2024,” wrote the Singham star on Instagram alongside a poster featuring objects resembling voodoo dolls.

Besides Ajay, Shaitaan will be jointly produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of Jio Studios, Devgn Films and Panorama Studios.

The announcement has left fans excited with many wondering if the forthcoming film is a remake of Krishnadev Yagnik’s 2023 supernatural horror thriller Vash.

Madhavan and Jyothika also shared the poster of the upcoming horror film on Instagram.

While Madhavan has been soaking up the accolades for his portrayal of Railways general manager Rati Pandey in Netflix’s historical drama series The Railway Men, Jyothika was last seen in Jeo Baby’s family drama Kaathal – The Core.

On the work front, Ajay is set to star in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming cop drama Singham Again, a sequel to the 2014 actioner Singham Returns. In the movie, he will share screen space with Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. The Bholaa star will also appear in Rajkumar Gupta’s Raid 2 alongside Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.
