Actor Abhishek Banerjee is elated about the chance to work with his inspiration, Amitabh Bachchan, in Ribhu Dasgupta-helmed courtroom thriller Section 84.

“Growing up, I used to copy Bachchan sir a lot. My acting journey started in a way that is similar to my idol — Kirori Mal College, Delhi University,” said the actor, who is known for films like Stree and Bhediya as well as for shows like Mirzapur and Paatal Lok.

Reminiscing about the days when he used to copy Amitabh in front of friends and family, Abhishek said he was excited to have the opportunity to work with the veteran actor in Section 84. “It feels surreal to finally realise that I’ll be working with the legend at last. I still recall having a t-shirt printed with Small B, Medium B and Big B. People still call me Bachchan.”

Section 84 also stars Diana Penty and Nimrat Kaur in key roles. The film is presented by Reliance Entertainment in association with Jio Studios and produced by Reliance Entertainment and Film Hanger.

Apart from Section 84, Abhishek will also be seen in Dream Girl 2, Stree 2, Apurva and Bhediya 2 this year and the next.
