Abhishek Banerjee has joined the cast of the Amitabh Bachchan-headlined courtroom thriller Section 84, the Bhediya actor announced on Wednesday, calling it his “Ekalavya meeting Dronacharya” moment.

“Section 84 is my moment of Ekalavya meeting his Dronacharya,” Banerjee wrote in an Instagram post, referring to himself as Ekalavya and Bachchan as Dronacharya from the epic Mahabharata. “When I knew nothing about acting, I only knew one name- Amitabh Bachchan. From being a fan since boyhood to actually getting the opportunity to stand alongside him in one frame, life has truly completed a circle for me. This time I am a part of it! Thank you Ribhu Sir, you have no idea how my younger self is filled with joy to finally experience the mania with you. We’ve all been struck for years now,” his post further read.

Written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, Section 84 also stars Diana Penty in an important role. The film is presented by Reliance Entertainment in association with Jio Studios and produced by Reliance Entertainment and Film Hanger.
