With the release of the long-awaited Enola Holmes 2 and My Policeman on Netflix and Prime Video, respectively, early this month, the OTT scene is hotting up in November as a slew of new movies are lined up for streaming on these two platforms as well as on Apple TV+, Lionsgate Play, Sony Liv and Disney+ Hotstar.
Here we take a look at what movies are on offer on OTT for the rest of the month.
Falling For Christmas
Lindsay Lohan-starrer Falling For Christmas arrives on Netflix on November 10. The romantic comedy, directed by Janeen Damian and backed by Michael Damian and Brad Krevoy, also features Chord Overstreet, George Young, Jack Wagner and Olivia Perez in important roles. It follows the story of a rich heiress, who is suffering from amnesia and finds herself in the care of a handsome cabin owner and his daughter.
Monica O My Darling
Helmed by Vasan Bala, Monica O My Darling features Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi and Radhika Apte in crucial roles. Promising to be a deliciously dark comedy, the neo-noir murder mystery from the makers of Andhadhun revolves around a young man desperately trying to make it big. With some unlikely allies and a diabolical plan, he wishes to pull off the perfect murder. It will start streaming on Netflix from November 11.
Spirited
This musical reinterpretation of Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol is helmed by Sean Anders. The comedy, headlined by Will Ferrell, Octavia Spencer and Ryan Reynolds, revolves around a miserly misanthrope who's taken on a magical journey. The story is told from the perspective of the ghosts. Spirited drops on Apple TV+ on November 11.
Hot Seat
Kevin Dilon plays Friar, an IT expert, in this action thriller directed by James Cullen Bressack. A hair-trigger bomb strapped to his desk chair, Friar is blackmailed by an unseen hacker to steal digital funds online or have his daughter abducted. Tension mounts as Friar races against time to expose the terrorist. Hot Seat will stream on Lionsgate Play from November 11.
People We Hate At The Wedding
Directed by Claire Scanlon, this comedy film is based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Grant Ginder. It stars Allison Janney, Ben Platt, Cynthia Addai-Robinson and Kristen Bell. The film revolves around struggling American siblings Alice and Paul, who reluctantly agree to attend the wedding of their estranged wealthy half-sister in the English countryside alongside their mother, Donna. The film will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from November 18.
Wonder Women
Five pregnant women join a prenatal class conducted by Nandita (Nadiya Moidu) to prepare for motherhood. In their quest to know the new life, they discover their true identity and answers to their deep-rooted problems. Nithya Menen, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Nadiya Moidu, Padmapriya, Sayanora Philip, Archana Padmini and Amruta Subhash appear in lead roles in Wonder Women, directed by Anjali Menon. It will stream on Sony Liv from November 18.
Strange World
The Clades are a legendary family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest and most crucial mission into uncharted and treacherous territory. Directed by Don Hall and Qui Nguyen, this adventure film is headlined by Jake Gyllenhaal, Alan Tudyk, Lucy Liu and Dennis Quaid. Strange World premieres on Disney+ Hotstar on November 25.
