Avatar (English)

Cast: Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Stephen Lang
Ahead of the theatrical release of the sequel Avatar: The Way of Water on December 16, a remastered 4K version of James Cameron’s visual extravaganza Avatar has re-released in the theatres. The Academy Award-winning fantasy film was widely interpreted by critics as Cameron’s questioning of America’s ‘war on terror’ in Iraq and Afghanistan. Set in the 22nd century, Avatar tells the story of Pandora, a planet colonised by humans, and the struggle of the natives — the Na’vi — to protect their land from being usurped and their heritage destroyed.
