Tata Motors announced that it will be increasing the prices of its commercial vehicles by 5 per cent starting from April 1, 2023. The decision to increase prices is a result of the company’s efforts to comply with the more stringent BS6 phase II emission norms. As Tata Motors transitions its entire vehicle portfolio to meet these standards, customers and fleet owners can expect a range of cleaner, greener, and technologically superior offerings that deliver higher benefits and lower total cost of ownership, the company said. The price increase will be applied across the entire range of commercial vehicles, with the exact amount varying according to the individual model and variant.

Honda Cars India, too, will be affecting a price increase of its entry-level sedan Amaze which will be compliant with the BS VI Phase II norms. It recently launched the City in petrol and strong hybrid powertrains which are BS-VI Real Driving Emission (RDE) compliant on E5 fuel and E20 material compatible.

The prices of the new City range from Rs 11.49 lakh to Rs 15.97 lakh for the petrol versions and Rs 18.89 lakh to Rs 20.39 lakh for the hybrid versions. Kia India, too, introduced its refreshed RDE-compliant vehicle line-up with an updated powertrain and additional features in the Seltos, the Sonet, and the Carens. The refreshed line-up now comes with enhanced petrol powertrain which is now compatible with the E20 fuel.
